My name is Björgvin Friðgeirsson, and I am a Graphic Designer currently residing in my home country of Iceland. After three years of entertaining and educating studies at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, I graduated with honors in the summer of 2010. Since then I’ve embraced the idea of the “design nomad”, and traveled to Europe, Asia and the United States, and worked on a wide range of project, from UI/UX design to layout design and all the way to consultancy. In the process I’ve met amazing people which have inspired me to follow a path of socially conscious design with a positive impact.
I am very interested in usability design, information architecture and digital design, from web design to mobile apps.
Why is this website called 25 Great Circles?
Despite the obvious fact that my name isn’t the easiest to pronounce, I wanted to steer clear of having to associate every future project that dwells on this domain or it’s subdomains to my personal identity. 25 great circles is a reference to R. Buckminster Fuller, the great designer and inventor, and his geometrical research.
Would you like to work with me?
I am currently looking for work! At the moment I am a freelance designer, but I would definitely entertain the notion of being a full-time employee at the right workplace, and in almost any corner of the world. If you like my work, please get in touch with me, if only to say hi, connect and share stories and opinions. You can contact me by email at bjrgvn@gmail.com.
